Privatizing the housing sector under Paul Mengert

Paul Mengert is a professional trainer and president of the Association Management Group – a community management association in North and South Carolina. He has served in different governmental positions for over 30 years. He has served as a board of directors in the United States for the Givat Haviva Educational Foundation and as an advisor on the housing sector. Mr. Mengert served as the advisor to USAID area of accommodation to both Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. He also helps develop strategies for privatizing the government housing as well as forming the thousands of new homeowners associations in those two countries. Paul has also worked for some non-governmental groups. He has worked for Community Associations Institute and James B. Hunt, the former Governor of North Carolina.

With over thirty years of experience, Paul has been instrumental in fostering community developments and housing policies. He founded the Association Management Group, an association in 1984. Besides, he was certified as a Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) in 1990 and thus uses his experience and skills to train people in matters related to housing and management and to teach people on house ownership. He offers educational classes about homeowners association and has been involved in a managing development program for Harvard Business School Alumni Association of Charlotte.

Mr. Mengert attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, majoring in Political Science and Communications. He later graduated from Harvard Business School (OPM). He currently lives in the community of Greensboro, North Carolina.
